Summer Student Positions
Every year the City usually hires a number of students to fill in as vacation replacements and to work on various assignments that are only operated in the summer months. Some students, who meet our qualifications, return for more then one summer.
Any full-time student currently enrolled in a post-secondary or secondary institution must submit their resumes during their Christmas vacation. Departments will start to screen applications by late February or early March. Most of these positions commence between May 1st and July 1st.
Areas where students are generally hired include Aquatics, Parks, Public Works, and Engineering, also the Art Gallery, Museum and Summer Activity Program.
