We use the services of Applicant Testing Services Inc., a Recruitment Agency located in London to look after the initial stages of the recruitment process, i.e. the advertising, receiving the applications, as well as doing the testing.  The results are forwarded to the City of Woodstock, and at this stage the City short lists and conducts the interviews and determines the successful candidates.

Summer positions generally come available in the Aquatics, Parks, Public Works, and Engineering Departments, as well as the Art Gallery, Museum and Summer Activity Program.

Depending on the department, students commence employment between May 1st and July 1st, and usually complete their employment term shortly thereafter.

The City begins to accept applications for the next summer during the Christmas vacation and departments generally start to screen applications by late February or early March.

A person must be legally entitled to work in Canada in order to apply to the City of Woodstock.  We are an equal opportunity employer.

You must be currently enrolled in a post- Secondary or Secondary institution with a minimum case load equivalent to full- time status and be committed to returning to your studies in the next semester after summer employment.

The City of Woodstock will only accept applications and resumes for the advertised job vacancies. Unsolicited applications for employment and resumes will not be kept on file.
