The Community Services Department is responsible for the provision and administration of Culture & Recreation as part of the municipal services to the public to ensure that they are safe, affordable and accessible by the public at large, through sound planning and continual assessment of our service provision.
The Community Services Department recognizes the right of all citizens to participate in the culture, recreation and leisure services that the city provides on an equal and fair basis. The department strives to provide the best services we can to our customers through the development of excellent programs, services and facilities.
In an effort to determine how to best serve the current and future needs of the people of Woodstock, the Community Services Department completed a Recreation and Leisure Master Plan in May 2005.
We are committed to communicating and cooperating with the public, private sector and related agencies to ensure that a comprehensive, coordinated and effective system of service provision is achieved.
