Sewage
The City of Woodstock Works Department is responsible for the maintenance of the sanitary and storm sewer collection system.
Storm Sewers
The storm sewer system consists of approximately 100 km of storm sewers ranging in size from 6" diameter to 96" diameter and approximately 2,900 catch basins.
Sanitary Sewer
The sanitary sewer system consists of approximately 165 km of sanitary sewers ranging in size from 6" diameter to 42" diameter with approximately 13,000 units connected to the system.
Maintenance
Maintenance activities include visual inspection, camera inspection, power flushing, mainline repairs and catch basin and manhole repairs.
Water Pollution Control Plant (W.P.C.P.)
Woodstock has a single sewage treatment plant to service its residents. The current plant capacity is 7.3 million gallons and existing inflows average 5.27 million gallons per day. The plant provides both primary and secondary sewage treatment with efficient affluent discharges to the Thames River. All affluent discharges must meet M.O.E.E. guidelines for water quality.
