Placing of Sweepings, Dirt, Etc.
By-Law #1399, section 14, subsection 10 for the City of Woodstock states:
No person shall sweep, throw, place, drop, deposit any paper, dirt, filth, glass, hay, grass, straw, hand bills, wood ashes, lawn clippings, waste material, garbage, or rubbish of any kind or the carcass of any animal on any of the public streets, alley ways, lanes or thoroughfares of this Corporation.
Further, leaves are not permitted to be swept onto the street except during advertised fall leaf collection periods.
Grass and leaves may be deposited at the Yard Waste Depot, located at:
Board of Works Yard, 944 James Street.
